Creating a PV electricity infrastructure, Sri Lanka
The goal of this project was to create the conditions for the development of education and health care with photovoltaic and clean water in Sri Lanka. There were 1614 separate systems, most of which were for pumping water and schools. The key-operated system made it possible for elecricity to reach beyond the reach of main power grid for healthcare and education. In addition, the systems brought clean water to people, which greatly improved local living conditions.
